Ever since I was a kid I loved telling stories. As I grew up I wanted a career in Literature but that's not possible in an Indian family with tons of Engineers and Government Officers. So I did what 90% of Indians do, "I did Engineering" but I had a plan. I started my first business when I was in the first year of my engineering. Storytelling and Literature, that's what I did, I started a content writing company. An engineering student with no exposure whatsoever, yes the business failed but I learned and got more confident. 1 year later I came across an opportunity to work as a human capital trainee at a small startup in Indore and Voila my journey with strategies, talent management and human resources started. 10 years from then I worked for some of the largest clients in the world, Google, Apple, Charles Schwab. Now, I was living the dream because I got to plan human capital strategies and story-tell policies and scenarios to the new hires, Not exactly literature but who cares if you look through the silver lining I get to tell the story behind each job and hear over 1000s from candidates. Moral of the story: Your education doesn't define who you will become, so don't cry if your parents want you to become an Engineer, go do it but never give up on your dreams and keep chasing them till you live them!
